Who is eligible for surrogacy in Illinois?
While the requirements for who can become a surrogate vary by agency, there are some standard qualifications regarding age, weight, previous pregnancies and lifestyle habits. ISC participants typically must:
- Be between ages 21-40
- Be at a BMI no higher than 33
- Be a NON-smoker
- Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
- Have a history of giving birth and be raising at least one child of their own
- Have a positive support system to help throughout the surrogacy
What’s the typical duration of a surrogacy process in Illinois?
The average duration of a journey is 12 to 15 months. Every surrogacy journey is unique and the process from applying, qualifying and all the way up to birth follows a different timeline for each surrogate.
Is there a physical office of the International Surrogacy Center in IL?
While there isn’t an ISC location in this state, you can still become a surrogate in Illinois through us. We take care of the details in virtual meetings held over Zoom.
Is there a likelihood of being connected with intended parents specifically from Illinois?
